Blissed Out

I’ve kept paper journals since age 14, and still find them really nice places for writing freely, as well as excellent practice for writing without drafting. Also, there’s something about the ritual of pen and paper, and about producing neat handwriting in this age of typed screens, that appeals to me. Occasionally I will share scans of paper journal entries on my online journal. Here’s one for the blog, because I think it’s nice to know that sometimes, things can really work out for people in a world that’s often difficult to negotiate. We have so many tragic stories – here’s some personal bliss – a little of the love story between my husband and myself, that I originally wrote just because, and because my heart was so full this just needed to come out. A heads-up: I’m not hiding the eroticism, it’s part of the entry just as it’s part of us.
